By downloading, installing, or using the Prosochê mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and Neil Ong ("we," "us"), an individual developer based in the Philippines and the developer and operator of Prosochê.
Prosochê is a daily Stoic reflection practice app. It provides original reflections, journaling tools, and mood-aware personalized guidance to support a daily habit of attention and self-awareness.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Prosochê. By using the App, you represent that you are 18 years of age or older.
Prosochê does not require an account, and there is no email or password sign-up. You may optionally enter a display name to personalize the App; it is stored locally on your device. This version does not provide cloud accounts or cross-device sync.
Your display name and content are stored on your device. You are responsible for the security of your device.

Prosochê offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription (Monthly or Annual) that unlocks all reflections and premium features. Paid plans may include a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins and you are charged the listed price.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, at the then-current price.
Purchases are billed through your Apple App Store account. You can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Payments are processed by Apple, and refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies. We do not process payments or issue refunds directly. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
You agree not to: violate applicable laws; reverse-engineer or decompile the App; gain unauthorized access to our systems; scrape or reproduce App content for commercial use without written permission; or rely on the App's guidance as professional medical advice.
The Prosochê name, logo, design, original reflections, and all other original content are the intellectual property of Neil Ong, protected by copyright and applicable laws.
Reflections in Prosochê are inspired by public-domain ancient Stoic texts, including works of Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus, and Seneca. Our original commentary based on these works is our own intellectual property. Prosochê is not affiliated with any modern Stoic publication, author, or brand.
Journal entries you write remain your own and stay on your device. We do not access, receive, store, or claim ownership of your personal journal entries.
Prosochê is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Neil Ong shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim, or PHP 500 if no payment was made.
You agree to hold harmless Neil Ong from claims arising from your use of the App in violation of these Terms, your violation of applicable law, or any content you submit.
The App uses Apple's App Store for billing and RevenueCat for subscription management. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for third-party practices or content.
Your use of Prosochê is also subject to the terms of the platform from which you downloaded the App (the Apple App Store). In the event of a conflict, the App Store terms govern for platform-specific requirements.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes shall first be attempted through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, they shall be submitted to the appropriate courts of Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, notify you with an in-app notice.
